SCV

SCV These are the workhorses of the Terran’s planets. They can harvest, repair, build and, if necessary, even fight. All these capabilities make the SCV an integral unit, when it comes to conquering a planet or building a strong base. Exactly these machines were used to rebuild the orbital platforms of Tarsonia, which were once Confederacy’s property.

Use of SCV

  • Use these guys to gather resources, construct and repairs buildings.
  • They can only attack ground targets.
  • Can support and repair your mechanical army in combat.
  • In early game the SCVs can be used as front line unit to protect Marines, if you are rushed in your base.
  • This worker is stronger than the Protoss’s Probe and the Zerg’s Drone. They can be healed from Medivacs and one SCV can repair another.
  • Can be used for scouting.

Not good for fighting with Probes because of their shield. Main purpose i to scout in early game.

VS Zerg

Versus Zerg you can try a bunker rush with a SCV, by building a bunker in your opponent’s base, but you have to keep it alive until you troops arrive.
